Farmer at Brailsford Old Park – 223 acres and 4 labourers

Married twice

First wife - Sarah Allen (daughter of William Allen of Muggington)
Born 1819 died 26.03.1857 aged 38

Married 09.08.1841 – they had a number of children which may have included Sarah, William, John, Elizabeth, Henry, Hamlet, Mary Ann (it is difficult to work out from the census information who belonged to who)

Second wife – Mary Millington born. 1838 died. 09.06.1925 aged 87
Her father was William Millington a labourer
Married 26.03.1857 at the Parish Church Kniveton
Hamlet was 53 years old and Mary 20

Hamlet is buried in Brailsford Church Yard between his two wives !

Married 1891 in Ashbourne

Elizabeth Tudor born 1862 Basford, Staffordshire
Her father was Thomas Tudor a farmer. At the time of her marriage she was living at Alkmonton, Bentley, Derbyshire.

Family lived at Brown House, Ashleyhay, Derbyshire
And later at Hayes Farm, Morley

They had :

Hilda Mary married Fred Smith and had Gladys and Daisy
