DIED AFTER COLLISION

Victor Daniel Baker died on June 4th 1949 aged 57.

He was returning from work at Morley's in Kings Newton when he was in collision with a Laban's lorry at the junction of Chapel Street, Packhorse Road and Station Road. Heading for the alley way between Chapel Street and Derby Road I think.

I managed to obtain a newspaper cutting from the Derby Evening Telegraph 5th June 1947 reporting the accident.
